Effect of synthesis parameters on the thermal behaviour of yttrium and iron amorphous oxides prepared by coprecipitation.
Résumé
As part as of an overall research subject to control the densification of yttrium iron garnets prepared by coprecipitation, we have studied the thermal behaviour of the hydroxide obtained at the end of the synthesis. The use of thermal analysis methods such as differential thermal stability (DTA) and high temperature X-Rays diffractometry (HTXRD) allows us to show the effect of some synthesis parameters on the crystallization of the yttrium iron garnet. The observed phenomena can be related to the presence of the anions which stay in the solid.
