This chapter gives a general overview ot the Tardiglacial and early Holocene on the Charente and Vendée coasts, as well as the preliminary results of a collective research project focused on the lower Charente Basin and carried out in collaboration, between the authors, regional French prehistorians and Spanish researchers working on the Cantabrian coast.
