We consider bodies of arbitrary shape and dielectric properties, held at two different temperatures and immersed in environmental radiation at a third different temperature. We derive explicit closed-form analytic expressions for the correlations of the electromagnetic field and for the heat transfer and Casimir-Lifshitz force in terms of the bodies' scattering matrices. We then consider some particular cases which we investigate in detail: the atom-surface and the slab-slab configurations. %G English %2 https://hal.science/hal-00627218/document %2 https://hal.science/hal-00627218/file/15-PRA_84_042102_2011.pdf %L hal-00627218 %U https://hal.science/hal-00627218 %~ OBSPM %~ INSU %~ UPMC %~ CNRS %~ SYRTE %~ L2C %~ PSL %~ UPMC_POLE_2 %~ MIPS %~ UNIV-MONTPELLIER %~ SORBONNE-UNIVERSITE %~ SU-SCIENCES %~ SU-SCI %~ OBSPM-PSL %~ SU-TI %~ ALLIANCE-SU %~ UM-2015-2021
