A method and a tool for fast transient simulation of electromechanical devices: application to linear actuators

The paper deals with a tool for the fast simulation and pre-sizing of electromechanical actuators: Reluctool. The modeling of the electromagnetical parts is carried out with reluctant network [2]. The paper presents an approach of automatic coupling of a reluctant network with any kind of basic electrical circuit, and the dynamics of a mechanical moving part. The proposed method allows to simulate devices to get response times. So, devices could be quickly pre-sized taking into account all geometrical, electrical and mechanical parameters.
