Recent results at the metal-insulator transition of icosahedral AlPdRe

The metal-insulator transition, MIT, in icosahedral AlPdRe has been studied from measurements of magnetoresistance and conductivity. Results for the localization length x, the characteristic hopping temperature To and their relations at the MIT are discussed. The results indicate important similarities between i-AlPdRe and doped semiconducors.
