L'échec du dialogue ? Figures de l'altérité dans les lettres de Franz Rosenzweig à Margrit et Eugen Rosenstock
Résumé
The aim of this paper is to explore which conceptions of alterity the philosopher Franz Rosenzweig shows through his correspondence with Margrit and Eugen Rosenstock. The distinction between amatory alterity which Rosenzweig experiences with Margrit Rosenstock and religious alterity that stamps his relationship with Eugen Rosenstock should help to show which challenges this forms of alterity confront the epistolary dialogue with. In his love letters to Gritli, Rosenzweig underlines on the one hand the importance of separation, in a geographic meaning as well as in a legal one. He interprets this concept as a positive attribute of his relationship. On the other hand, he is in a constant conflict with Eugen Rosenstock on religious matters. The most important issue of this paper is to study how Rosenzweig makes these difficulties productive for his own writing.
