| A study of the weapons from Byblos, which was made during the spring 2005 in the National Museum of Beirut, has made possible an important update of this abundant data. Most of these weapons come from the offerings deposits of the Middle Bronze Age, but in this paper we only expose five axes found in different levels of the Bronze Age in the site. A comparison of these axes with similar weapons from the ancient Near East helps to place Byblos in its regional context. |
