| Since the 1980 s. in the North-West of Europe, though more timorously in France, some land claimes from the se ais now being allowed to revert to saltmarsh. C this managed realignment of the coast be part of integrated management of coastal areas ? We will try to answer this question in studying the projects in the Baie de Somme, introduced by the CIADT in july 2001. A new public policy relating to coastal areas consists in giving again an esturay to a river and reverting some “renclôtures” to saltmarsh. Considering the examples of such initatives in Normandy, Brittany, Essex and lincolnshire, we will see if the project belong to GIZC in a prospect of sustainable development, and in what conditions. |
