A comprehensive approach of the simulation of the mechanical behaviour of small samples of textile or textile composite structures, from the weaving process to the application of various loadings, is presented un this paper. Based on an appropriate method for the taking into account of contact-friction interactions within large assemblies of fibers, this approach allows to consider structures made of several hundreds of fibers.
