EDF, La privatisation qu'il fallait éviter

Millions of small investors have welcomed the privatisation of EDF and have bought shares. The present paper discusses what might happen if American and British investment funds succeed in buying on the Stock Exchange a significant fraction of these shares. First are discussed a few major traits of financial capitalism as it functions today. It is them shown that they are not compatible with the smooth functioning of an operator controlling a large number of nuclear power plants.

Cet article examine ce qui pourrait se passer si des fonds d'investissement américains ou britanniques parviennent à racheter un nombre important des actions qu'ont achetées les "petits"épargnants français au moment de la privatisation.Après avoir rappelé certains traits du capitalisme financier actuel, l'article indique en quoi ils sont en contradiction avec les exigences de la production nucléaire d'électricité.
