Les affects en situation d'interaction coopérative

This text presents some methodological approaches to gather information about the affects that emerge during cooperative interactions, and that influence the subjects' decision and action. The way of accessing to affects is different according to their level of masking and reflection. Some affects are partially conspicuous and one can infer them through behavioural cues, like the linguistic and paralinguistic positioning of association-dissociation relative to a design proposal. Other affects are socially masked in order to avoid a threatening of the faces and to allow the activity to go on, and they can be verbalized in a second degree setting; a case of interaction between an insurance agent and his clients, and a case of participative design meetings are developed to illustrate this point. This second degree setting must include specific techniques of questioning when the affects are not easily verbalized because they are pre-reflected, i.e. not directly accessible to verbalisation, and an expert mediation is necessary to help this process. At least, some affects will remain unconscious and not accessible in a research interview, but non-verbal signs may sometimes allow some hypothesis about their presence.

Ce texte présente une approche des affects qui sont développés en interaction de travail et qui influent sur la décision et l'action, à partir de plusieurs cas où l'accès aux affects est différent selon leur niveau de masquage et de réfléchissement. Certains affects, comme les valences d'association ou dissociation par rapport à une proposition de conception, sont partiellement ostensibles et repérables par des indices linguistiques et para-linguistiques. D'autres sont socialement masqués et verbalisables dans un cadre de second degré, comme dans les cas présentés d'interaction entre clients et agent d'assurance et de réunion de conception participative. Ce cadre de second degré doit inclure des dispositifs techniques de questionnement spécifiques quand il s'agit d'aider au réfléchissement de certains affects pré-réfléchis. Enfin d'autres affects resteront inconscients mais des signes non-verbaux autorisent parfois certaines hypothèses concernant leur existence.
