An epistemology of the translation, according to J.-R. Ladmiral, will determine the theoretical statute of the knowledge traductologie. It is important to know: "which type of speech is appropriate for the translation". We will initially try to see which is the stake of the translation in the world of today. Then, we will study the object even of the traductologie, recent discipline within the human sciences, before arriving finally at the analysis of the four kinds of speech which Jean-René Ladmiral distinguishes on the translation.

Une épistémologie de la traduction, selon J.-R. Ladmiral, ira à déterminer le statut théorique du savoir traductologique. Il s'agit de savoir, plus précisément, « quel type de discours convient-il de tenir sur la traduction. ». Nous essaierons d'abord de voir quels sont les enjeux de la traduction dans le monde d'aujourd'hui et dans tous les siècles. Ensuite, nous nous arrêterons quelques peu l'objet même de la traductologie, récente discipline au sein des ssciences humaines, avant d'arriver finalement à l'analyse des quatre genres de discours que distingue Jean-René Ladmiral sur la traduction.
