Defining Exponential Mixture Family with Applications.

Quite different to the classic notion of mixture and quite natural, the so-called exponential mixture is defined, and the exponential mixture family is obtained in this way. Different properties of the exponential mixture family are studied. The associated problem of estimating the mixture coefficient is studied by the likelihood approach and empirical function approach. The exponential mixture family gives us also another classification approach. Finally, a kind of local exponential mixture family approximation is studied.
