Shape-Preserving $C^1$ GP Hermite Interpolants Generated by a Subdivision Scheme

Résumé

In this paper we present a method for the construction of $C^1$ Hermite interpolants obtained from a particular family of refinable spline functions introduced by Gori and Pitolli (\cite{GorPit97}). These interpolants are generated by the general subdivision scheme introduced by Merrien \cite{Mer92}} and satisfy, arbitrary monotonicity or convexity constraints.
